Flashcards, general information
Flashcards
Take 3 X 5 file cards and cut them in half.
On one side, write the Spanish word or expression.
On the other side, draw a picture and/or write the word in English. Remember that your brain would prefer not to bounce back and forth between English and Spanish, so try to do a picture whenever possible. You need one card for every word or expression on the list.
Flashcards for all vocabulary on the list will be due the first Monday of that chapter. Therefore, whenever there is a chapter test, please come to class with blank cards. When you finish the test, you may begin the flashcards for the new chapter.
Bring the flashcards for the chapter we are working on every day that we are doing that chapter.
Whenever you have a few extra minutes in class (ie. You have finished an activity and are waiting for others to finish), quietly practice your vocabulary.
Whenever you have a few extra minutes outside of class, it would be a good idea to practice with the flashcards.
The day of the chapter test, you may put your flashcards from that chapter in the envelope that we will keep in the classroom.
We will have opportunities throughout the year to practice vocabulary from previous chapters.
